Strike Out
Dublin-based producer Aero debuts on Entourage Concept with a 4-track EP that blends soulful dub techno and his signature hard-edged sound. The release includes a locked groove remix by fellow Dublin artist Dylan Fogarty. Aero, a key figure in Irelands electronic music scene, is known for his dynamic DJing and production. His releases on labels like Index Marcel Fengler and Twice Infinity have gained support from industry heavyweights, with tracks regularly played at iconic venues like Berghain and Fabric. Aero’s music fuses influences from tribal techno to house, creating distinct, dancefloor-ready tracks. The EP kicks off with “Strike Out,” a gospel-infused techno track featuring soulful chords, deep dub elements, and a vocal sample from Loleatta Holloway. “Cold Calling” brings in funkier vibes with a swinging bassline and electro-clash-inspired synths. "Going Off The Deep End" offers a dub techno sound, driven by percussive loops, reverb-heavy chords, and ethereal pads. The tempo slows slightly in “Let The Boy Chop,” with chunky percussive patterns and 909 rhythms, topped off with a sample from Chicago's Phuture. Dylan Fogarty's remix of “Let The Boy Chop” closes the EP, adding eerie drones and atonal synths for a fresh, jackin' reinterpretation.
