South London's Potentz makes his release debut proper with a dope four tracker for Police In Helicopter. Potentz Terra Fonix, to give him his full title, has come up through the classic schooling of pirate radio DJ slots and some on-the-side production with mates Kromestar and Cessman. With this in mind, the vibes of 'Mission Riddim' and the vocals from Soom T and Solo Banton make a lot of sense, classically rooted in digi-dub principles and weighted with proper South London bass sensations. 'Mission Riddim' also reminds of Kromestar's 'Kalawanji'/Surgery' 12" which is never a bad thing, while the darker tint of 'Emerging Supense' comes from the stinky central synthline and gangsta swaggering steppers programming. Fans of real rooted and authentic dubstep need apply!
