Founded in 2019 at a party in the legendary Rockfabrik in Ludwigsburg, VIOLET set out to revive the vibrant, extravagant 1980s—a decade full of big melodies and hits—here and now. With their debut album „Illusions“ from 2022, hailed by fans and the press as the #1 time machine back to the ’80s, the young band from the Stuttgart region quickly played their way into the spotlight. Their live shows also became extremely popular events for AOR fans—and not just for them. No surprise, since the passionate performance of lead singer Jamie Beckham, the virtuosic guitar playing of guitarist/singer and songwriter Manuel Heller, the delicate keyboard melodies of Filip Kuzanski, and the irresistible groove of the rhythm section with Eric Hart on bass and Maurice Probst on drums, leave no one standing still. At the end of 2024, two years after their debut album, which also caused a stir in Japan and the USA, the long-awaited follow-up *Mysteria* will be released on December 13th. Once again recorded, produced, and mixed by producer Andreas Konstandaras and mastered by Chris Jones at Peak Studios, the band presents itself more mature and confident than ever before. While the debut had a poppier edge in many parts, the new songs show another side. For *Mysteria*, there were no limits for VIOLET. A fine saxophone shines here and there, as well as unexpected and irresistible gang shouts. There are more guitars, with the occasional slight progressive twist, but always in service of the song. And all this with an incredible authenticity for a time in which none of the band members were even born. The first single, *Angelina (Talk To Me)*, whose video hit the 100,000 mark on YouTube within four days, already offers a taste of the album.
