Producer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and DJ, Ouri is one of the recent revelations on the electronic and electro-acoustic scene, and far beyond, for her talent that expresses itself in many disciplines. Ouri, a classical multi-instrumentalist from an early age, grew up in France in a family of Afro-Caribbean origin, before moving to Montreal at the age of 16 to study composition. It was there that her artistic vision took shape and took shape through her encounters with the city's musical community, becoming a major figure in Montreal's underground electronic scene. Lending her talents to a variety of collaborations, she forged her relationship with herself, and consolidated her growing taste for sonic hybridization. Drawing on her background as a cellist, harpist and pianist, Ouri draws on her knowledge of great orchestral music to create her own signature, punctuating the classical dimension of her genesis with industrial abrasions and electronic nuances. She sculpts chaos with textured layers, in which her voice is imprinted. Intimate music that blends R&B, ambient, electronica and IDM.
