Discotek, the house music alias of Stefan Mangushev, is an emerging producer originally from Las Vegas, currently based in Detroit. Stefan's musical journey started on classical piano and evolved into an affection for electronic rhythms and melodies during his college years. Armed with a laptop, he delved into crafting house beats and learning production in his bedroom, initially operating under the moniker STEF. Over time, this hobby turned into an ambition, prompting Stefan to inaugurate the project 'Discotek' in 2023. Channeling a fusion of elements from acid house, tech house, and disco house, Discotek captivated audiences across social media platforms. His music has recently began garnering label attention from imprints off Black Hole Recordings, as well as Showtek's 2Dutch. With a slew of music ready for release in the future, Stefan eagerly anticipates broadening his sonic footprint and connecting with an even wider audience in the house music community. When not producing, you can find him on the dance floor, always reminding you to “stay groovy.”
